Special Collections

Lenten Appeal: During the six weeks of Lent the Catholic Church calls out for sharing and prayer for missions running in the country. The money collected is distributed for the support of the Total Mission of the Church in SA. This includes the poor and needy, education, health, priestly and lay formation, peace initiatives, and so much more.
Please donate during Lent by either placing cash in the marked envelopes and handing in at the collection during Mass, OR click below to make a secure online payment (use LENTEN APPEAL as reference).

Mater Homes: This collection services the pro-life ethos of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese by providing Catholics the opportunity to face the evils of abortion and abuse, and assist — as far as possible — those who are threatened by them [See article].
If you require any further information on the Mater Homes please contact Fr. Biancalani on 031 903 3328.

Advent Appeal: This collection is taken up on each of the four Sundays during the season of Advent. The proceeds are allocated by the Archdiocesan Finance Committee towards retired clergy medical care and the training of future priests.

Mission Appeal: This collection is distributed by the Pontifical Mission-Aid Societies, for support of missionaries throughout the world.

Holy Land: This collection is sent to the Commissariate of the Holy Land to help with the maintenance and upkeep of the holy places and shrines there.

Napier Centre For Healing: The Napier Centre 4 Healing (NC4H) offers a holistic, primary care treatment programme that returns residents to society psychologically stable, equipped with skills to lead productive livelihoods and reintegrates them with either family and/or a healing and supportive community.
